Discrepancia versus deslealtad

Con la muerte de Castro me ha venido a la mente el tristemente célebre senador estadounidense McCarthy, de ahí la asociación ha sido inmediata al periodista Edward Murrow.  De las interesantes e imprescindibles frases que dejó, como parte de un valioso legado, la que sigue es la que me ronda estos días. Tiene que ver con la poca tolerancia a la disconformidad que tienen algunas personas.

"We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty. We must remember always that accusation is not proof and that conviction depends upon evidence and due process of law. We will not walk in fear, one of another.
